This rating is our assessment of the fitting requirements, not a manufacturer certification.

Where this tracker fits

Powered assets with a compatible battery supply where a basic two-wire installation is preferred.

Hardware at a glance

  • Teltonika FMC880 hardware with 4G LTE Cat 1 connectivity
  • 10–30V DC operating supply
  • Two power connections: positive supply and ground
  • Movement sensing and configurable location reporting
  • 170mAh internal rechargeable backup battery

How it works

The tracker uses the machine's electrical supply, obtains its location from satellites and sends records over the mobile network to a compatible tracking service. The reporting pattern and customer access are set up for the agreed service.

App or web access, geofencing and customer-facing alerts depend on the confirmed tracking package. Mobile coverage and satellite reception affect reporting. Tracking is an additional layer of protection and does not guarantee theft prevention or recovery.

How fitting works

  1. Confirm the asset voltage, battery condition and installation position.
  2. Arrange compatible SIM and platform settings; insert or change the SIM only with the unit fully powered off.
  3. Have a competent installer connect the positive supply and ground in accordance with the manufacturer's guide.
  4. Secure the device and wiring away from heat and moving parts, maintaining the enclosure seals.
  5. Test location reporting and the agreed movement alerts before normal use.

This is a fitting overview. Follow the current manufacturer setup and mounting instructions for the supplied hardware revision.

Power and practical considerations

Vehicle-powered, using a compatible 10–30V DC supply. Battery-connected does not mean self-powered. The small internal battery is backup power, not a long-life battery solution for an unpowered trailer. Confirm suitability for assets left parked for long periods.

Equipment and service package

The named tracker is the proposed hardware. SIM, platform access, mounting accessories, configuration and installation will be itemised in the agreed package. We will confirm the hardware revision and box contents before ordering.

Add tracking to your current security setup

Use tracking alongside your farm security equipment, stable security, cameras or perimeter alerts. It operates as a separate service unless an integration has been specifically confirmed.

Ask about this tracker

Tell us the asset make and model, how it is used, where it is stored and how many units you need. Equipment, installation and ongoing service costs will be confirmed before you commit.
