GPS trackers versus Bluetooth asset finders

The BLE tags and stickers listed below are supplementary Bluetooth asset-finding devices, not standalone GPS trackers. They rely on a compatible detection network and should not be described as providing independent live GPS location tracking.

For trailers and horseboxes without a permanent electrical supply, enquire about the self-powered TAT240. Its package is quoted separately; standard Vital pricing does not apply. For plant needing a larger backup battery, ask about the FMC234.

Tractor GPS tracking questions

How much does tractor GPS tracking cost?

The TVC107 and TBC212 trackers cost £99 including VAT. Tracking is £7.99 per asset per month, or £79.99 per year paid upfront, saving £15.89. Installation is quoted separately.

Can I cancel monthly tracking?

Yes. Monthly tracking can be cancelled at the end of a billing month.

Does a tractor tracker need Wi-Fi?

No. The tracker uses its own mobile connection. It still needs satellite reception, mobile coverage, power and an active tracking service.

Can I fit a tractor GPS tracker myself?

Professional fitting is recommended for the hardwired TVC107. The TBC212 has a simpler battery connection but still needs competent fitting following the supplied manual.

Is it an insurer-approved tracking service?

No. Standard tracking does not include S5/S7 certification, human monitoring or a stolen-vehicle recovery team. Check your insurer’s requirements before choosing – see do tractor GPS trackers lower insurance?
