Rural Secure installation rating: 4/5 · Qualified installation required

This rating is our assessment of the fitting requirements, not a manufacturer certification.

Where this tracker fits

Machinery and plant requiring a professionally fitted tracking setup, including installations needing compatible wired inputs.

Hardware at a glance

  • Teltonika FMC234 hardware with 4G LTE Cat 1 connectivity
  • 10–30V DC operating supply
  • IP67-rated enclosure
  • 1000mAh rechargeable backup battery
  • Configurable wired inputs and outputs; extra functions require suitable installation and service support

How it works

The tracker normally draws power from the machine and sends satellite-derived location records to a compatible tracking service over the mobile network. Its internal battery provides backup operation after external power is lost; the duration varies with settings and conditions.

App or web access, geofencing and customer-facing alerts depend on the confirmed tracking package. Mobile coverage and satellite reception affect reporting. Tracking is an additional layer of protection and does not guarantee theft prevention or recovery.

How fitting works

  1. Confirm the machinery voltage and the functions required before specifying connections.
  2. Arrange the SIM and platform configuration for the agreed tracking service.
  3. Use a qualified installer for the power, ground and any ignition or other input wiring, following the current manufacturer manual.
  4. Mount and secure the device with appropriate sky visibility; route and protect wiring and close the enclosure correctly.
  5. Verify location records and configured events, then test backup behaviour as part of commissioning.

This is a fitting overview. Follow the current manufacturer setup and mounting instructions for the supplied hardware revision.

Power and practical considerations

Hardwired 10–30V DC supply, with internal backup battery. Additional sensors, relays, CAN adapters and remote immobilisation are not included or promised. Backup power does not make this a long-life autonomous tracker. It is not presented as an insurer-approved S5/S7 service.

Equipment and service package

The named tracker is the proposed hardware. SIM, platform access, mounting accessories, configuration and installation will be itemised in the agreed package. We will confirm the hardware revision and box contents before ordering.

Add tracking to your current security setup

Use tracking alongside your farm security equipment, stable security, cameras or perimeter alerts. It operates as a separate service unless an integration has been specifically confirmed.

Ask about this tracker

Tell us the asset make and model, how it is used, where it is stored and how many units you need. Equipment, installation and ongoing service costs will be confirmed before you commit.
