A battery-connected GPS tracker for suitable vehicles and machinery. The Vital TBC212 connects to the equipment's battery, offering a simpler power connection than a conventional multi-wire installation.
Clear tracking prices
Tracker hardware: £99 including VAT. Tracking service: £7.99 per asset per month, or £79.99 per asset for 12 months paid upfront. Monthly service can be cancelled at the end of a billing month; annual payment purchases a year of service.
Security-kit offer: add one TVC107 or TBC212 tracker for £79 including VAT when purchased with a kit from our Rural Security Kits collection in the same order. Tracking service and installation are extra. One discounted tracker per order; cannot be combined with other product or order discounts.
Initial account setup and basic onboarding are included in the hardware price. Professional installation is quoted separately. Enquire to confirm your asset, configuration and service activation before ordering.

Important: battery-connected means it uses your machinery's battery. It is not a self-contained, long-life tracker for an unpowered trailer.
From your machinery to your phone
The device fitted to your machinery determines its position using satellites.
The tracker sends location records through its active SIM and mobile network.
View available locations and configured alerts through the Rural Secure app or portal.
Power, suitable reception and an active tracking service are required. Reporting intervals and notifications depend on the confirmed setup.
How fitting works
- Confirm your machine, electrical supply and storage conditions with us.
- Arrange the compatible SIM, account and tracking settings.
- Secure the tracker in a suitable position near the battery using the approved mounting arrangement.
- A competent installer connects the positive and negative leads according to the supplied manual, protects the cables and checks polarity.
- Test position reports and configured notifications before normal use.

What the service includes
Rural Secure branded app/portal access, core SIM/data connectivity, location reporting and the agreed geofencing and movement alerts, with basic customer support. We confirm the supported alerts, reporting intervals, history retention and any extra data requirements when setting up your asset.
Power and practical limits
The tracker draws power from the equipment battery. Tell us if the machine is stored for long periods or its battery is disconnected regularly. Mobile and satellite reception affect reporting; no fixed update interval is promised until the configuration is agreed.
Installation is separately quoted. This service does not include insurer-approved S5/S7 certification, a monitored recovery team or remote immobilisation. Tracking is separate from your alarm or camera system unless an integration has been confirmed.
