Rural Secure Installation Rating
2/5 · Easy
Typical setup: 20–40 minutes.

Local deterrence with remote mobile notification when you are away.

A practical step up from a conventional shed or workshop alarm for locations that have mains power but may not have fixed Wi-Fi. The system combines a 10m PIR detector, built-in 130dB siren and mobile-network communication so it can call and/or text up to three keyholders when activated.

Why choose it?

  • Operates over 4G, 3G and 2G mobile networks
  • Calls and/or texts up to three keyholders
  • 10m PIR detection range with 120° horizontal coverage
  • Built-in 130dB siren, with silent-mode option
  • Remote-control operation up to 100m line of sight
  • Mains powered via supplied 3-pin plug
  • 3 AA batteries provide backup during a power cut
  • No fixed Wi-Fi required
  • Expandable with compatible PIRs, magnetic contacts, vibration sensors and wireless sirens
  • Useful middle ground between a basic local alarm and a full 4G camera system

Best suited to

Sheds, garages, workshops, home offices, stables, tack rooms, static homes, holiday properties and other buildings where mains power is available and remote notification is important.

Where this fits in the Rural Secure range

Choose a basic local alarm if you only need an on-site siren. Choose this system when you also want calls or text alerts. For visual verification and recorded imagery, move up to one of our off-grid 4G security cameras.

Build a more complete setup

Pair it with an off-grid solar security light to illuminate the approach and add another visible layer of deterrence.

Power, SIM, signal and range information

This version requires a mains socket and is supplied with a plug-in transformer. The 3 AA batteries are backup batteries for power failures and are not recharged inside the alarm; the manufacturer recommends replacing them approximately every 12 months. Mobile notification requires a standard-size active SIM and suitable compatible mobile-network coverage at the installation location. No data allowance is required for the alarm's call/SMS functions. SIM/network charges may apply. The quoted 100m remote/accessory range is a clear line-of-sight maximum; the manufacturer notes that around 40–50m may be more typical in real installations depending on buildings and obstructions.
