A straightforward wireless driveway alert for one approach

The Rural Secure Single PIR Driveway Alert detects movement around an entrance, driveway, yard or access route and sends an audible warning to the plug-in receiver inside the property.

Best suited for

  • Rural driveways and private entrances
  • Farmyards and workshop approaches
  • One main access route or detection zone
  • People and vehicle movement alerts

What is included

  • One battery-powered outdoor PIR detector
  • One plug-in indoor chime receiver
  • Wireless range up to 600 metres in clear line-of-sight conditions
  • Compatibility with additional suitable sensors

How it works

The outdoor PIR detects movement and sends a wireless signal to the indoor receiver. The receiver then sounds an alert, giving early warning before somebody reaches the house, yard or building.

Compare your options

To cover three separate approaches, see the Triple PIR Driveway Alert. For a gate-contact system over a longer distance, compare the 900m Wireless Gate Alert. Browse all driveway and gate alarms.

This product is ordered specifically for you, checked and repackaged before dispatch. We will confirm supplier availability after your order.

Will it detect both people and vehicles?

Yes. The outdoor PIR is intended to alert when movement is detected within its monitored area.

Does the outdoor detector need mains power?

No. The outdoor PIR is battery powered. The indoor chime receiver plugs into a suitable socket.

Site and range information

Wireless ranges are manufacturer maximums measured in clear line-of-sight conditions. Buildings, trees, terrain and interference can reduce practical range. Measure the intended detector-to-receiver route and test the system before final positioning. Careful detector positioning also helps limit unwanted alerts from public roads, vegetation and animals.
